Internal Fire Water Supply System Maintenance

Internal fire water supply system (IFWSS) maintenance is primary importance to ensure safety from fire. In case of a fire, the system main task is to provide water to the nearest fire column to effectively extinguish the fire. The effective IFWSS operation requires regular inspection and maintenance in accordance with the requirements set out in the Code of Practice SP 10.13130.2020 and other regulations governing the fire protection systems operation.

The IFWSS maintenance requires specialized experience in fire safety, which highly qualified specialists possess. The water supply components are fully inspected twice a year, including fire hydrants, hoses and cabinets. Water pressure and flow rates are also measured and fire hoses are re-tensioned.
Annual fire hose testing.

Worn or damaged elements are replaced if necessary. The inspection results are recorded in certificates and protocols that can be used in the inspection by the fire safety department.
